The Mix Masters is hosted by John Vogel, spirit master and funny guy. John's career in bartending spans 2 decades, but his brand of comedy is timeless. John hosts the "Spirits" or beverage portion of the show and is trying to convince us that "mixology" isn't a greatest hits album of his favorite rap groups.

Yes, John wishes he could have the show to himself but even he couldn't resist the help of cuisine queen, Christian Kennedy and the wine "authoriti", Mr. Wineknow himself, Dean Wolfe.

The Show

The Mix Masters is a half hour of fun that combines a talk-show format with the "how to" of their favorite drinks and then mixes those drink ideas with simple and fun food recipes.

It's the show that takes the mystery contained in all those bottles behind the bar and unlocks those secrets to the viewers, but there's more! Ya see, not all drinks contain alcohol and The Mix Masters opens the door to great non-alcohol alternatives, such as incredibly delicious virgin drinks and the" how to" behind that perfect cappuccino.

So what's "the spin"? Well "The Mix Masters" takes all the above and combines each episode with a comedic twist, such as Christian Kennedy giving her own version of "Jerk Chicken" in episode one. Or John Vogel taming the "Old West" on the truth behind how the perfect margarita is made! Have you ever witnessed the facts and only the facts of the "how to" of a perfect wine tasting party? Well co-host, Dean Wolfe gives you the "wine know" to your wine gathering.

"How do you make the perfect martini?" The Mix Masters explores the possibilities.

"My son is 5 years old and we need some ideas for his surprise birthday party." The Mix Masters gives you great recipe's for kids also.

"I want to know what the latest drinks are from around the world!" The Mix Masters travels there for your knowledge.
